What’s on - Community Walking Group
Our first ever community walking group starts Saturday 7th October at 8:00am!
Starting from our Headquarters at 1/131 Bulleen Road, North Balwyn 3104 we are inviting all members, furry friends and non-members to join us for a short walk around the local community. We think this is a great way for our Activate Community to move together, get to know each other a little better and encourage any friends or family to come along and get Active together!
Details:
8:00am start inside the studio for a brief warm-up
8:15am walk around North Balwyn shops, up through the park and around to the studio again
9:00am return (approx.) to Activate
Afterwards we will head to Hellenico who will have on offer a coffee special if you mention you were part of this walking group
If you can’t make it along to the first one, we will be running these weekly and look forward to having you join us at the next one!
To book in either email us at info@activate-ep.com.au or call on 8849 9795.
Client Spotlight - Aija
Shout out to one of our favourite client’s Aija who returned to training after her recent holiday. Aija has been missed dearly by her regular 7:00am Monday, Wednesday and Friday crew - although it has been much quieter! It was great to see Aija back in action working on strengthening exercises to assist her recovery from her current episode of back pain and some aerobic conditioning to allow Aija to continue traveling and enjoying doing the things she loves. Welcome back!
Did you know - Regular exercise can improve muscle mass, which can prevent sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) and increase metabolic rate . This is particularly important if you are planning on keeping fit after fifty!
Get to know… Nathaniel!
Nathaniel is one of our Director’s at Activate and has a huge passion for physical activity as a way of life and supporting our clients with evidence-based exercise interventions as a means for preventing and managing chronic health conditions, to achieve optimal physical, mental, and social well-being.Â
